September 14, 1937: The National Screw & Manufacturing Team of Cleveland, Ohio, won the girl's championship at the National Softball Tournament held at Soldier's Field in Chicago on 9/4, by defeating the Rayls of Detroit, MI, in the final game of the tournament.
